Arizona Love

Jordo's grandparents live in Mesa and we LOVE visiting them. There's nothing like a fun trip down to the warm land. :)

This trip we were able to take a relaxed driving speed. We stopped in Monticello the first night and in Kayenta the second night for a family wedding. Jordo's cousin married a sweet Navajo girl last year and this weekend they had their traditional Navajo ceremony, it was so fun to attend!

We also stopped in Arches for a few minutes and took in the sights. Luckily I had been there before so the fact that I couldn't be active and run around didn't bother me too much. We did do a quick walk out to the Delicate Arch overlook area, not as great as being up there with it, but still fun.

Travel snacks. Yum.

M, using her pillow case as a little travel blanket. She was surprisingly good for the trip, AND did not pee in her diaper once the entire trip there in the car! Go potty-training! We are definitely not quite there, but each day she gets better and I think there was some sort of excitement in using toilets at all sorts of different rest stops!?

Of course for Jordan, as well as M and I, one of the huge highlights of the trip was all the swimming time we got in at Grandma and Grandpa's house. One day I think Jordo went three times! I think for him it is like sledding is for me at Christmas time in Alaska... I wasn't AS comfortable swimming but I did my fair share.

It was a fun trip, exhausting, but fun. Wish we could go back. Coming home to a messy and chaotic house was also not so fun and made me wish we were still living the vacation life.

Happy Tuesday. Hopefully we are off to play group and library story time this morning, we'll see how long it takes us to get ready!
